OMG! What a sweet blog. But we LOVE our dads no matter what. The pics made me laugh. Thanks for sharing, it made my day. Oh yeah, and I called my dad just to say hello.
Just found your blog and I love it. I too have never been married and I just turned 40 this year; it sucks, and I have a whole lot of issues. Thank God...I am not alone! You are "I laughed so hard I nearly choked on my own snot funny."
Oh dear god...this reminds me of the scene in the movie Mommie Dearest when Faye Dunaway chopped down the rose bushes after she got fired from Metro.
ReplyDeleteChristina...BRING ME THE AX!!!!!!!X
Oh no! Reminds me of when I hired someone to take out an icky overgrown Yew bush. I came home to find they had removed the wrong one!

ReplyDeleteRon,
ReplyDeleteOnly you would think of that. Hysterical!!
Oh no, Frankie! And you actually PAID them to do that.
ReplyDeleteTheresa,
ReplyDeleteYes, we DO love our Dads. They have the best of intentions. :-)

ReplyDeleteI would've loved to have seen your dad's thought process as he worked.
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me, but he left a little bit of the stump sticking out of the ground.
ReplyDeleteHi Funny Girl,
ReplyDeleteYes, we 40-somethings with issues have to stick together. No one else gets us! Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you again!
Carlos,
ReplyDeleteHis thought process was "you have to cut it back so it will grow again". I'm pretty certain the one arborvitae is a goner for good.
Jeff,
ReplyDeleteHe was just pruned it.. :-)
So how did your dad earn a living back when he was a younger guy? Professional mohel?
ReplyDeleteFunny, Judge! No, then he would have only cut off the tips of the bushes.
