If you're like me, you're always misplacing things.

Purse
Car keys
Gloves. Actually, usually just one.
Birth control pills
Cell phone

I made the wise (?) move to disconnect my landline in anticipation of moving. (And no, I still haven't moved but that's another post). Well, stupid me. The only way I could ever FIND my cell phone was by calling it from my landline. Without a landline, I can't tell you how much time I've wasted trying to locate my phone.

And, no this boyish ass is obviously not mine.

I was lamenting about this one day on Facebook when one of my friends (Thanks, Vernon!) told me about this super cool website

http://www.wheresmycellphone.com/

You type in your number and it calls your phone!! How cool is that? And the best part is that it's FREE. You know I love FREE. Donations are gladly accepted to keep the service free.

Try it out!

  1. I was going to suggest a second cellphone.

    Or, If you would tape a dog biscuit to it Millie and Dino would find it for you.

    Maybe the free thing is better.

  2. I'd gladly try it out – just give me your cell phone number (the best would be you publish it on your blog, I guess that's a discreet enough spot!) and I'll do it! LOL
    Seriously, the only thing I seem to misplace these days is my enthusiasm to start working. Is there a free website to re-activate that, somewhere?

    Best to you from freezin' Paris (I'm wearing gloves as I write) ;-))

  3. @Simply Suthern,
    Don't think I haven't thought about one of those pay as you go phones!

    Hey, that's a good idea about the dog biscuit, though. :-)

    @Dieter,
    Oh,honey, if you find that "wheresmyenthusiasm" site, please pass it along!

    Sorry, you're super cold. We're freakishly warm here.

  4. How freakin' COOL is that????

    But knowing my luck, my internet service would be out too so I wouldn't be able to use this service - HA!

    Actually, I (and don't laugh) don't even have a cell phone to lose. But hey, I can't tell you how many times I lose my keys!!!

    Have a FAB Wednesday, girl!

  5. That website service has saved me many times. You can also delay the call from 30 seconds up to 5 minutes... that will give you time to expand the perimeter when necessary.

    Here is a link to another similar service:

  6. @Ron,
    Ha! I thought about that, Ron! I'm waiting for that day to come.

    @Vernon,
    The delay thing really helped when I thought it was in my car. It gave me time to go outside.

    Thanks. How do you find these things? :-)
