The one beagle habit my Seamus does NOT have is hunting rabbits. Which is a good thing since we have plenty of wild (cute!!) little bunnies running around the hill right outside our back patio. Seamus could care less about them. He likes his food already killed, skinned, grilled and served hot, apparently. (Dino is a cutie! How'd you get him to sit still long enough?!)
Mmmm hmmm...my Dad used to hunt with beagles. He loved 'em! I think I need to start walking them alone instead of together. Like you said, once they get on a scent...
I have callouses on my hands!
@Teresa,
That's how Bernie was, too. I bunny or squirrel could run over her and she wouldn't even blink an eye. She and Seamus would have gotten along splendidly!
I think he pooped himself out from running around my sister's yard with her dog.
@Ron, Thanks! Yes, LOVING this weather! I can't wait to go to bed every night and snuggle under the covers. Of course, getting OUT of bed in the morning is a bit of a challenge!
My bro in law raises Beagles for hunting rabbits. There aint much training to get them to chase them. They live for it.
ReplyDeleteButttttttt, If he ever sniffs one out good luck catching him.
